A former business journalist...

Peter Brown qualified as a senior newspaper journalist with the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) while working on weekly titles in the mid-1980s.

He went on to work for one of the UK's leading regional newspaper publishers  - progressing from district office reporter to business editor on one of its largest daily titles ...and picking up a management degree from a leading business school in Yorkshire, Bradford University Management Centre, and his marketing diploma from Skipton, North Yorkshire, en route.

...with ample hands-on corporate communications and press office experience

Peter joined the financial services and banking sector in the late 1990s, working in the corporate communications teams of three household name organisations in Yorkshire, the Midlands and the South West of England.

As well as writing, editing and approving B2C and B2B material for the media, he readily turned his hand to everything from web copy and advertising features to speechwriting and 'ghosted' articles on behalf of senior management. Peter began working on a freelance and interim basis - the second time he has done so in his career - in 2007.
